Designed Challenge for Greater Growth

"Growth forward customarily takes place in little steps, and each step forward is made possible by feeling safe, of operating out into the unknown from a safe home port, of daring because retreat is possible" Abraham Maslow

The way you allowed him to open up and talk just eased his mind. He just felt so comforted talking, you have a great way with that age student....not too many people can handle those volatile middle school days.
Kate, 7th Grade Parent

During the rock climbing when the students had to announce who their belayer was in life, Kate said her sister...and broke down crying. That was the first time during this entire ordeal that she has allowed herself to cry. Throughout these past months, I have tried to talk with her, to have her address her fears, but everytime I heard "don't worry about me...take care of her". Even after her sister was back at school, Kate did not want to face it.
Those activities you did, the safe place you created, the emotion that was shared...really led to a breakthrough for my daughter.
Michelle, 7th Grade mother
